Wedding Stationery FAQ
Timings - How long does it take?
Once we receive your order form, then you should expect to receive a sample design within one week.
When should we send out our stationery?
Save the Date Cards - On average Save the Date cards would be send out between 12-18 months before the wedding, If you are getting married abroad then you might want to do this a little earlier.
Wedding Invitations - This is totally up to you. On average, invitations would normally be sent out between 3-6 months before the wedding. If you choose not to send Save the Date cards then you might decide to send your invitations a little earlier.
How many do we need?
It’s always better to have too many than too few, also it’s always nice to keep a couple for keepsakes. Remember most of your guests will be couples, so as a general rule divide the total number of guests list by 2, then add on an additional 15 - 20% for spares and last minute changes to the guest list.
Minimum Orders
Before the Day Stationery - There is a minimum order of 50 invitations or Save the Dates cards due to the time involved in creating artwork and printing costs.
On the Day Stationery - On the day stationery is available to customers who purchased their wedding invitations & customers who have not.
Payment
Once your order is approved via email, the balance is then due, you can either pay via bank transfer, visa or pay when collecting.
Sample before print
If you wish to see a physical sample before we print, we can do so and the cost is €10, which we can add to your bill.
Proofs
Proofs: Proofs are a rough idea of what the finished printing will look like, it is not a guarantee that the colours will be exactly as on the proof sheet. Proofs also differ from different monitor and mobile screens along with different laser and inkjet prints outs.
All envelopes are purchased from stock and are not printed to match colours. We have no control over the colours they are printed. But we will do our best to choose the most suitable colour to match your invite.
Delivery (Ireland & abroad)
When your order is approved via email, we will send the order to print. Printing can take approx 7-10 working days.
If you need them for a particular date, please let us know and we will do our best to achieve this for you.
Delivery costs - There is a €10 courier charge, using Fastway Couriers (approx 2-3 days delivery) or for a quicker delivery An Post (express next day delivery) €20. Please specify if you would prefer an express delivery at the order confirmation stage.
International orders - Are very welcome! To date my designs have made their way to Australia, Dubai, USA & UK. To place an international order simply contact me and we can go from there.
